Empties from November 2015 to February 2016 – Part 2

This is part 2 of my recent empties. Where do you normally keep your empties?

(all links go to reviews I have done before)

Marc Jacobs Honey Eau de Parfum

I liked this scent quite a lot, and am considering buying the full sized bottle.

Tory Burch Eau de Perfume

This is a great scent for the young professional woman.  It is feminine without smelling too sweet, and is not offensive – but be careful how much you apply!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum

I did not know when I tried this product that it is such a popular fragrance! This was heavier than most scents I am used to wearing, so I am glad I got to try it in the cooler months.

Bath and Body Works Ultra Shea Body Cream in White Tea & Ginger

I liked this body cream much, much better than Bath and Body Works’ normal body lotions.

Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel

This is a sunscreen that I apply on my face every single day. It provides SPF 50+ without making my face greasy. It contains alcohol though, so don’t apply it to your face if you have sensitive skin.

Sea Breeze Deo & Water Frozen Mint

This is a new product in the Sea Breeze Deo & Water line, and has a stronger menthol feeling. It was very refreshing in the summer, but too cold in the cooler months.

Bath and Body Works Sparkling Limeade candle

I liked the scent of this candle, but as you can see from the black marks on the container, this did not burn evenly.  I’ve realized that Bath and Body Works don’t sell many of their candles in the small size anymore!

The Body Shop Lavender Home Fragrance Oil

This was a nice lavender scent.  If you are looking for a pure lavender oil, this is not the right product, but it is great if you are looking for a lavender scented oil

Those are all of my recent empties! What products have you used recently?

Review: Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum

This is a review of the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum.

Recently, I mentioned to a fellow blogger friend that I was looking to find a new perfume. She kindly gifted me with a huge bag full of perfume samples!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
What it does: (from the Sephora website)

This floral explosion releases a profusion of flowers that has the power to make everything seem more positive. Magically evocative notes immediately awaken your deepest senses, giving you the impression of living life in your own secret garden, away from reality. Sambac jasmine, centifolia rose, cattleya orchid, and ballerina freesia bloom on a base of patchouli.

Notes: Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, Ballerina Freesia, Patchouli.
Style: Oriental. Gourmand. Floral.

Availability: A quick google search tells me that this product is available at Nordstrom and Sephora

Price: The 1 oz bottle of this product retails for $80. Pricey!

Scent: Because I am used to floral scents, this perfume felt very heavy and oriental to me. While the floral notes are also prominent, I was very aware of the patchouli.

Pros:

  • This scent lasts very well on my skin, probably because it is a heavier scent
  • I felt that this scent was a little more earthy than what I normally wear, making it very different for me

Cons:

  • It smells strongly, so I was very careful not to wear too much

Would I purchase? Maybe. I liked this perfume because it is different from what I normally wear. I think it works better in the colder months!

Hope you enjoyed this review!
