Empties from November 2015 to February 2016 – Part 2

This is part 2 of my recent empties. Where do you normally keep your empties?

(all links go to reviews I have done before)

Marc Jacobs Honey Eau de Parfum

I liked this scent quite a lot, and am considering buying the full sized bottle.

Tory Burch Eau de Perfume

This is a great scent for the young professional woman.  It is feminine without smelling too sweet, and is not offensive – but be careful how much you apply!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum

I did not know when I tried this product that it is such a popular fragrance! This was heavier than most scents I am used to wearing, so I am glad I got to try it in the cooler months.

Bath and Body Works Ultra Shea Body Cream in White Tea & Ginger

I liked this body cream much, much better than Bath and Body Works’ normal body lotions.

Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel

This is a sunscreen that I apply on my face every single day. It provides SPF 50+ without making my face greasy. It contains alcohol though, so don’t apply it to your face if you have sensitive skin.

Sea Breeze Deo & Water Frozen Mint

This is a new product in the Sea Breeze Deo & Water line, and has a stronger menthol feeling. It was very refreshing in the summer, but too cold in the cooler months.

Bath and Body Works Sparkling Limeade candle

I liked the scent of this candle, but as you can see from the black marks on the container, this did not burn evenly.  I’ve realized that Bath and Body Works don’t sell many of their candles in the small size anymore!

The Body Shop Lavender Home Fragrance Oil

This was a nice lavender scent.  If you are looking for a pure lavender oil, this is not the right product, but it is great if you are looking for a lavender scented oil

Those are all of my recent empties! What products have you used recently?

Review: Tory Burch Eau de Parfum

This is a review of the Tory Burch Eau de Parfum. This is one of the many samples that a dear friend gave me as a gift.
Tory Burch Eau de Parfum

I have really been enjoying using these samples. They last me about a week and a half, which is surprising considering how small they are.

What it does: (from the Sephora website)

The first fragrance from Tory Burch captures classic elements in unexpected ways: feminine and tomboy, easy and polished. Floral peony and tuberose blend with crisp citrus notes of grapefruit and neroli anchored by earthy vetiver—a bright and complex mix. The fragrance comes in a super-chic glass bottle with a signature fretwork top.

Notes: Neroli, Grapefruit, Cassis, Bergamot, Peony, Tuberose, Jasmine Sambac, Vetiver, Sandalwood.

Price: $68 for 1 oz

Availability: This perfume is available at Sephora, Macy’s, and Nordstrom

Scent:  This is a light, floral scent. It is feminine without being too sweet.  I could detect tuberose, grapefruit and sandalwood

Pros:

  • The description of the scent captures the image quite well – feminine and tomboy.
  • I think many people would like this scent. If you interact with a lot of people, this may be a scent for you since there are few people who would dislike it

Cons:

  • I felt this was quite a generic scent. There isn’t anything all that memorable about it.

Would I purchase? No. While I liked the scent itself, I was looking for something new and different.

Hope you enjoyed this review!
