Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

This is a facial scrub which I used as a facial cleanser. With a face wash net, it foamed up nicely.

Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel

This is my go-to facial SPF.  It has alcohol in it, which may not work for some people, but I really like this SPF because it does not make my skin greasy.

Barry M Dazzle Dust in Mushroom

This is a purply taupe color which was extremely popular in the beauty blogger community a few years ago. Barry M products are extremely affordable in the UK, and I recommend the brand highly.

MKB cleansing oil

A review of this product is coming up! I bought this on a whim because I was running out of cleansing oil.  It was surprisingly good!

Living Lalique Eau de Perfume

This was a light perfume which was very feminine.

Fresh Life Eau de Parfum

This is a floral-citrus scent.  I liked the scent, but I felt that it wasn’t worth the price.

Cartier La Panthere Eau de Parfum

This is a musky floral perfume. I felt that the scent was generic and definitely not worth the price.

Bath and Body Works White Tea and Ginger shower gel

This scent is a discontinued line which is periodically brought back.  It smells like sweet ice tea to me.

YuskinA hand cream

This is a very thick hand cream which is well-loved in Japan. It helped my hands a lot this past winter.

Seabreeze Deo+Water deodorant

My go-to deodorant! I always have one on hand.

Monthly Favorites #60: December, 2015

This year has been a year of heavy domestic travel for me.  Some of it has been for work and some of it has been for vacation.  I have been on the Shinkansen (bullet train) at least 2 times each month, and I have also been on a domestic flight almost every 3 months.  I’m a little more used to international travel, so traveling a lot in Japan is new for me!

On to my favorites!

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ Foundation (link goes to my review)

The weather suddenly turned colder this past month, and with it, my skin turned drier. Although this foundation is a matte foundation, I found that it did not make my skin look patchy or dry.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (link goes to my review)

This sponge works really well with the MUFE foundation, making it look super natural. The only downside is that it does absorb foundation.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

This is a great, affordable daily cleanser that also exfoliates.  aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

Jo Malone London Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne

This is such a unique scent, and I’m really thinking about buying a full sized bottle!

Review: Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

This is a review of the Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub.

I am constantly on the look out for an exfoliant that I can use every day. With the words “Daily Scrub” in the product name, I was very excited to try this out!
aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

What it does: (from the Aveeno website)

This daily scrub helps improve skin tone, texture and clarity. Its unique formula combines ACTIVE NATURALS® moisture-rich soy extract with microbeads to gently exfoliate while you cleanse, leaving your skin looking luminous. It’s also oil free, soap free, noncomedogenic, hypoallergenic and gentle enough for everyday use, even on sensitive skin.

Price: Varies, around $8

Pros:

  • By using this straight out of the tube, this product exfoliated my skin very well!
  • I also tried using this with a face wash net, in place of my daily cleanser. It foamed up well and lightly exfoliated.
  • This comes in a HUGE tube!  What a great value for money.
  • I would have liked a little more exfoliation when I used it foamed up.

Cons:

  • This contains microbeads, which have been recently banned in the US. I expect it will be reformulated soon.

Would I repurchase? Yes
