What it does: (from the Sephora website)

Fresh Life Eau de Parfum is sensual citrus fragrance that captures the ultimate Fresh moment, conjuring the freshness of a clear blue sky, sweet morning air, a sparkling sun, and velvety water.

Airy notes of grapefruit, lilac leaves, and transparent magnolia float above sunny hints of silk amber, warm orange, and tonka flowers, balanced by the aquatic freshness of sweet cucumber, sparkling moss, and morning dew. At the base, Earthy notes of velvet bergamot, vanilla grass, and dreamy cypress anchor the fragrance.

Notes: Grapefruit, Lilac Leaves, Transparent Magnolia, Silk Amber, Warm Orange, And Tonka Flowers, Sweet Cucumber, Sparkling Moss, Bergamot, Vanilla Grass, Cypress.

Price: $50 for 1 oz

Scent: “Fresh” is all I can think of. It is a floral-citrus scent

Availability: This product can be found at Sephora, Nordstrom, and other department stores

What I thought:

This scent makes me think of jeans and a t-shirt. I probably should have waited until the spring to try it, but I still enjoyed it. I think this scent is universally liked.

On the other hand, because it is so light, this perfume does not last well on my skin.

Would I repurchase? Maybe. While it was a nice scent, it was not a remarkable scent for me.

Hope you enjoyed this review!

Review: Jo Malone London Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne

This is a review of the Jo Malone London Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne.  I received a sample of this from a friend.  Let’s cut to the good part – I LOVE THIS.
Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt

What it does: (from the Saks Fifth Avenue website)
Escape the everyday along the windswept shore. Waves breaking white, the air fresh with sea salt and spray. Alive with the mineral scent of the rugged cliffs. Mingling with the woody earthiness of sage. Lively, spirited and totally joyful.
Price: $65 for 1 oz

Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt

Scent: This is really hard for me to describe.  It is woody and green. It is not your typical beach-y fragrance, which tends to be sweet and scented with coconut, but rather, it reminds me of walking along the grass by the ocean in a cold climate.

Availability: Jo Malone colognes can be found at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and other department stores

What I thought:

It has been a long time since I found a scent that I liked so much!  It is appropriate for my work environment, and I think it would be appreciated by a wide range of people.  It is feminine without being floral or cloyingly sweet.  If only it were a little more affordable!

Would I repurchase?  Yes… on my birthday, maybe?

Hope you enjoyed this review!

Review: Chloe Eau de Parfum

This is a review of the Chloe Eau de Parfum. A good friend of mine gave me a lot of perfume samples, and this is one of them.
Chloe Eau de Parfum

What it does: (from the Sephora website)

Capturing the spirit of women, the Chloé vision is not about one singular woman, but rather about the rich and varied personalities of all Chloé women. This fresh, smooth floral fragrance evokes sublime powdery rose. The effect is chic, comfortable, and entirely addictive.

Top notes of pink peony, freesia, and lychee embody subtle freshness. At the heart, midnotes of magnolia flower, lily of the valley, and rose rise to sublimated femininity. A base of velvety elegance comes to fruition through cedarwood, amber, and honey.

Notes: Pink Peony, Freesia, Lychee, Magnolia Flower, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Cedarwood, Amber, Honey.

Price: $75 for 1 oz

Scent: This is a sweet, floral scent. The peony and freesia scents were prominent.

Availability: As this is one of Chloe’s most popular scents, it is quite easy to find, for example at Nordstrom or Sephora. I have also seen this frequently at duty free shops.

Chloe Eau de Parfum

Pros:

  • This is a feminine scent without being too girly or immature
  • The scent reminds me strongly of spring

Cons:

  • The scent may be too light for the colder months

Would I repurchase? Yes. I really liked this scent. It is hard for me to find floral scents which don’t feel too generic!

Hope you enjoyed this review!
