Review: Elie Saab L’Eau Couture Eau de Toilette

This is a review of the Elie Saab L’Eau Couture Eau de Toilette.IMG_7440

What it does: (from the Nordstrom website)

Elie Saab L’Eau Couture Eau de Toilette contrasts the sophistication of a couture look with the springtime freshness of a fragrant eau de toilette. It is a natural, luminous and feminine scent, opening with fresh citrus accents, calabrian bergamot and magnolia.

Top: citrus, calabrian bergamot, magnolia. Middle: orange blossom. Base: green almond accord, vanilla.

Scent: I was quite surprised to know that this is a citrusy floral scent.  Somehow, I felt it was more of a neutral scent, similar to freshly cracked pepper.

Price: $74 for 1.6 oz

Availability: Although I probably got this sample at Sephora, I could no longer find it on their website. I did find it at Nordstrom and other department stores.

What I thought: This was a very light perfume, and I had trouble figuring out what it smelled like. Perhaps it was because I was using this at the same time as some other very fruity, sweet scents, but this felt more neutral and less feminine.

Separately, I found the spray mechanism on this sample bottle to be very difficult to use!

Would I repurchase?  No, it was not a memorable scent for me.

Hope you enjoyed this review!
