Review: Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner

This is a review of the Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner. This is actually the first time I tried a brush cleaner! Before that, I had only tried homemade brush cleaner.
Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner

What it does: (from the Sephora website)
This cleanser works to remove dirt and makeup residue from both synthetic and natural brushes. As it cleans, it conditions and protects the fibers with a blend of sandalwood and amur cork tree bark extracts. PPG-2 myristyl ether propionate helps to cleanse and remove makeup easily. Isodecyl neopentanoate provides anti-tack properties to keep brushes soft and silky.

Price: $8.50/2 oz

Availability:  This is a Sephora brand product, which is available at Sephora stores and at Sephora online

Pros:

  • Removed makeup well from my natural hair makeup brushes
  • Did not leave any noticeable traces of my brushes
  • Easy to use

Cons:

  • It was hard to find the right amount of product to use. I usually use this product by folding a paper towel in half and then spraying a few spritzes. I found that even with this small amount, the product completely soaks the 2nd layer of the paper towel.  1 spritz was not enough to clean my brush.  I guess I should have used 1 spritz, cleaned my brush, and then applied another spritz to a new section of the paper towel to clean what was left on my brush… but that’s just way too annoying.

Would I repurchase? Yes, this is an effective and affordable product.

Hope you enjoyed this review!

2 Thoughts on “Review: Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner

  1. This is my absolute favorite daily brush cleaner! Here’s the way that I use it: I find that using a Scott Shop Towel (blue paper towel) is best because it’s very sturdy and doesn’t break apart, pill and leave little fuzzies on the brush. I use half a sheet that I fold into fourths. I spray 15 pumps onto the towel and clean my two dirtiest brushes first, which are my foundation brushes. I then flip it over and clean a few other brushes, including my blush brush. I then open it up to the section that was on the inside of the fold and clean the remainder of my brushes on that section. On a daily basis, I usually have 9 brushes to clean.
