Throwback Thursday: Favorites from June

This month, I revisited my favorites from June 2012 and 2013. It seems that I did not do a favorites in 2014!  Let’s see if I still like my old favorite products.

In June 2013, I liked:

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Energy Orange Ginger Lotion & Shower Gel

I like most of the scents in the Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy line, and this scent continues to be one of my favorites. I have repurchased this product a few times since then – which is surprising, since BBW continues to come out with so many new products!

Martha Tilaar Caring Colours Everlast BB cream (link goes to my review)

This is a local Indonesian product which I read about in Indonesian beauty blogs. I wore this non-stop while I lived in Indonesia, and I continue to wear it in the summer months since coming back to Japan. This reminds me – I should break it out soon!

In June 2012, I liked:

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation for Combination/Oily skin

This is one of the first foundations I ever bought (obviously not the same bottle), and I recently started using it again (more obviously not the same bottle). It costs 3x as much in Japan but it comes with a pump… which is not worth it because I can buy an airless pump bottle for $1.

Ecotools Bamboo Bronzer Brush (link goes to my review)

I don’t know if this is still available, but if it is, and you like to buff in your foundation, RUN AND BUY THIS.  It’s $10 and the softest, best kabuki brush I have ever used.

Sephora Pro Concealer Airbrush #57

I was recently introduced to the Real Techniques concealer brush, and that one seems to be working better for my under eye area.

MAC 211 eyeliner brush

The only reason I haven’t been using this brush is because I haven’t been wearing gel eyeliner. This is still my favorite brush for gel eyeliner, and very much worth the effort I spent to hunt it down.

Have you rediscovered any favorites lately?

xoxo, K

  1. it’s nice to see that many of the items that you were using last year still continue to be favorites. LMK if you want me to bring anything of these items for you.

  2. I LOVE the 211, but like you, mine haven’t been getting much love because I haven’t been bothering with gel!

    • It was so hard to find the 211. I think I went to 3 different MAC stores! Glad to know you like it too!
