Review: Bath2Basics Oatmeal Soap

This is the last of my haul in the Philippines, and a review of the Bath2Basics Oatmeal Soap.  Bath2Basics is a local Filipino brand which caught my eye while I was shopping in Manila. IMG_5899_final

I was interested in this product because the packaging claims this product is good for skin exfoliation.

Price: 58PHP, around $1.25

Pros:

  • I did not detect any smell in this product. In general, I find that products from Southeast Asia tend to smell very strongly, so I was glad that this product did not have a scent.
  • This product does not leave my skin feeling tight or dry, even in the winter

Cons:

  • While there are no very obvious cons, I did not feel that this product is memorable.
  • I did not feel that this product exfoliated my skin

Would I repurchase?  Probably not.  It has been a while since I stumbled upon a product which was “just OK”.  If you were to ask me if I recommend this product, I wouldn’t steer you away from it but I wouldn’t say it was great, either!

Hope you enjoyed this review!

xoxo, K

  1. Too bad this didn’t work the way you had hoped. I always thought that Oatmeal soaps were more for soothing irritated skin than for exfoliating.
