Review: Victoria’s Secret Pure Seduction Hydrating Body Lotion – Don’t judge a product by its brand

Victoria’s Secret is a famous brand in the US for lingerie and for its models. Although the brand has not officially entered the market in Japan, it is considered a trendy brand, and many people buy Victoria’s Secret products online and at import shops.

This product was a gift from a fellow blogger. To be honest, I didn’t have very high hopes for this product.  I have stopped by and tested Victoria’s Secret products whenever I pass by a shop in the US, but I had already decided in my heart that I wasn’t going to buy them.  I’m glad I had a chance to try a product because now I think I want to buy some more!

What it does: (from the Victoria’s Secret website)
A flirty, floral fragrance. Entice in Pure Seduction, a passionate romance of succulent red plum and sweet freesia. Experience the luxury of fragrant hydration. Fast-absorbing formula contains nourishing aloe, oat and grapeseed extracts, plus antioxidant vitamins E and C. Massage on for silky, replenishing moisture. Skin feels soft, smooth and touchable: the ultimate sexy sensation.

Price: The full sized product is $14 for 8.4 fluid ounces (250 ml).  This is the travel size which is $4 for 2 fl oz (60 ml)

Scent: This is a very sweet, fruity/floral scent. It is very heavy on the freesia scent, and reminds me of the Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom body lotion.

Availability:  Victoria’s Secret products are available in the US at Victoria’s Secret stores.

Pros:

  • This product was surprisingly moisturizing!  It moisturized my skin better than the majority of body lotions I have tried!
  • The scent lingered on my skin for some time.

Cons:

  • The scent is a little too flowery for me.
Would I repurchase? Maybe.  Although I don’t like the scent, I liked the product.  I will try out some other products from this line in the future!

Hope you enjoyed this review!

xoxo, K
