Review: Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Foundation – Finally!!

I have mentioned in my favorites of November and October that I have really been enjoying the Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Foundation.  Even though I have been using this since the summer, I’m just now getting around to writing a review on it!

What it does: (from the Revlon website)
Finally, truly decadent makeup offers ultimate performance. The mousse-like texture feels like silk on your skin. And, the time release formula balances skin for a flawless look. All day flexible wear without flaking, caking or feeling heavy

Price: Target.com has this for around $11

Pros:

  • This has a similar coverage as the Revlon ColorStay foundation, but without cakey feeling
  • This lasted reasonably well, although it was not waterproof

Cons:

  • The packaging. It is huge! The product is surrounded by a very thick layer of acrylic packaging, and is extremely heavy. This could have been much smaller.
  • I also don’t like dipping my fingers repeatedly (or using a spatula) into a pot, so I have decanted this into a smaller container

Notes: I like using a kabuki brush to apply this foundation. By buffing the product into a thin layer, I can achieve the right level of coverage for me.

Would I repurchase?  Yes. I really like the product, but the container is heavy!

Hope you enjoyed this review!

xoxo, K
