Review: Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Vanilla

I mentioned in a previous post that while shopping in Warsaw, I came across the first Bath and Body Works store I ever saw outside of the US. The prices were not bad, so of course yours truly bought a few things. One of those was the Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Vanilla shower gel and body lotion.

I have reviewed two other products from this line before, the Sleep Lavender Chamomile and the Energy Orange Ginger. Both were great so I had high hopes for this one!

What it does: (from the Bath and Body Works website)

Ultra-creamy, nourishing body lotion is formulated to give skin long-lasting moisture while an aromatherapy blend of natural ingredients and essential oils benefit body, mind & mood. Breath deeply for best results. Lavender Essential Oil and Vanilla Absolute calm feelings of stress for a more relaxed slumber

Price: $5 for the travel size, $13 for the full size. As with all other Bath and Body Works products, be sure to wait for a sale to pick these up!
Scent: Unlike every other vanilla scented product I have tried, this is not sweet! It is similar to the scent of vanilla essence (the kind you put into baked goods) combined with lavender.

Pros:
  • I really enjoy this scent! It is a nice to change to have vanilla scented products which are not sweet!
Cons:

  • As I mentioned in previous reviews, the full size shower gels and body lotions in this line come in acrylic bottles which could break easily.
Would I repurchase? Maybe. I’m interested in trying other products from this line. My favorites are still the Energy Orange Ginger and the Sleep Lavender Chamomile.

While writing this post, I found that the travel size shower gels are not available anymore on the Bath and Body Works website. What!?  What am I going to do next time I go to the US????

Hope you enjoyed this review!

xoxo, K
