Review: Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Chamomile

This is a review of the Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Chamomile Shower Gel and Body Lotion. I bought this when I was in NY.

As usual, I bought the travel size bottles. I get tired of scents if I continuously use the same ones. Travel size bottles usually last me around a month, which is perfect for me.

The Aromatherapy line is a little pricier than other products at Bath and Body Works. For example, Aromatherapy’s the full sized body lotions are $13 for 6.5 oz, while the regular line is $11 for 8 oz. The travel size bottles are both $5, but the Aromatherapy line is 2 oz while the regular line is 3 oz.

What it does: (from the Bath and Body Works website)

Sleep Well. Lavender and Chamomile Essential Oils soothe and calm to enhance sleep. This ultra-creamy, nourishing body lotion is formulated to give skin long-lasting moisture. Our formula contains precious botanicals and minerals – White Water Lily and Malachite are known to help soothe skin so it looks and feels its best.

Price: $5 for 2 fl oz (travel size), or $13 for 6.5 oz (full size).  Bath and Body Works almost always has some kind of discount going on, so I always suggest getting them on sale.

  • I personally like the scent – it smells strongly of lavender.
  • The scent does not last long on my skin, which is good.

  • The full size products come in acrylic bottles.  I don’t like acrylic bottles for shower products since I am afraid of dropping and breaking them.
  • Although the body lotion claims to be long-lasting moisture, I felt it was less moisturizing than other body lotions from the Bath and Body Works line.

Would I repurchase? Yes, and I’m also interested in other scents from this line, especially the orange ginger scent.

What do you think of the recent new scents from Bath and Body Works? Honestly, I don’t find them all that exciting. This has led to me getting more interested in the other products available at Bath and Body Works, such as the Aromatherapy line, the True Blue Spa line, and the CO Bigelow line!  I can’t wait to try out some more products from those lines!

Hope you enjoyed this review!

  1. I love the Aromatherapy line! I like this lavender one, but I’m also addicted to the Eucalyptus Spearmint scent. However, I’ve found the products themselves kind of average (body soap, lotion) so I’m going to try the body mist and scrub next. I’ve had the pillow mist for years but haven’t made a dent in it 😛 going to start spraying the curtains again.
By the way, the C. O. Bigelow lime and coriander soap smells awesome!

  2. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a B&BW so I haven’t seen this line yet! I’m very curious about Night Time Tea and Black Currant Vanilla (which sounds really good).
